- Charlotte McFaul
Charlotte McFaul, 90, a resident of Annapolis for 41 years and formerly of Takoma Park, Md., died of natural causes Nov. 19 at home.
Mrs. McFaul was born June 21, 1914, in Enola, Pa., and graduated from Enola High School in 1930. She earned a bachelor's degree in math from Lebanon Valley College in 1934, where she was named best girl athlete. She retired in 1977 from David Taylor Research Center in Annapolis, where she received a letter of commendation for her work in the development of a computer program to simulate the free piston air compressor.
A member of First Presbyterian Church of Annapolis, she enjoyed swimming and sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, beach vacations, travel and genealogy.
Surviving are her husband, H. Algire "Mac" McFaul, whom she married in 1938; three daughters, Barbara M. Cook of Columbia, Md., Ellen M. Swierk of Hartwood, Va. and Mary Ann Bonos of Stockton, N.J.; one sister, Iva Claire Edwards of Rolesville, N.C.; one brother, Ernest C. Weirick of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services and burial are private. Arrangements are by John M. Taylor Funeral Home, Annapolis. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of one's choice. [2]
