  Commercial Appeal, The (Memphis, TN, USA) - December 31, 1991 Deceased Name: BRIGHTON - Grace Awliff Simonton BRIGHTON - Grace Awliff Simonton, 89, retired school teacher, died Sunday at Mid-South Christian Nursing Center in Memphis. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Brighton Baptist Church, where she was a member, with burial in Salem Cemetery in Brighton. Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home has charge. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority, a church librarian for 46 years and a Sunday school teacher for 59 years and in 1988 was honored as librarian emeritus. Mrs. Simonton leaves two sisters, Mary Best of Ruston, La., and Frances Moore of Brighton; three brothers, Milton Simonton and J. W. Simonton, both of Brighton, and Houston Simonton of Memphis.
