Member of Covington First United Methodist Church, Mason, and Covington Lion's Club, where he helped with the pancake breaksfast. Served on the Tipton County Board of Education. Former Covington City Attorney and City Judge. Army WWll veteran. Survived by his two daughters, Jean (Jim) Scott of Midland, TX, USA, Anne (Barry) White of Covington; son, Bill F. (Kay) Cash of Olive Branch, MS, USA; grandchildren, Alicia VanHusen, Heather A. Scott, Kristin Mathis, Ben Cash, Becca Williams, Chase Cash, Cayman Cash; great-grandchildren; Calli, David, Cohen, Julie, Kyndall, and Carter. Widower of Mrs. Melbagene Black Cash. Visitation will be Saturday, December 18, from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. Funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m., all at Maley-Yarbrough Chapel. Internment will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Drummonds, Tn. Wilbur F. Cash, 93, of Covington, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at his residence. He was a retired attorney and school teacher, a member of Covington First United Methodist Church and the Lions Club, where he helped with the annual pancake breakfast, and also served on the Tipton County Board of Education. Additionally, he is the former Covington city attorney, city judge and served in the Army during World War II.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Dec. 18 at the Maley-Yarbrough Funeral chapel with interment in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Drummonds.
Mr. Cash was the widower of Melbagene Black Cash.
He is survived by daughters Jean (Jim) Scott of Midland, Texas and Anne (Barry) White of Covington; son Bill F. (Kay) Cash of Olive Branch, Miss.; grandchildren Alicia VanHusen, Heather A. Scott, Kristin Mathis, Ben Cash, Becca Williams, Chase Cash and Cayman Cash; great-grandchildren Calli, David, Cohen, Julie, Kyndall and Carter.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Covington or to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
