  Commercial Appeal, The (Memphis, TN) - July 10, 2000 Deceased Name: SAMUEL ERNEST BEATY SAMUEL ERNEST BEATY, 70, of Bolivar, Tenn., formerly of Shelby County, retired teacher for Hardeman County Schools, died of cancer Saturday at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Bolivar First Baptist Church, where he was Sunday school director and secretary, with burial in Bolivar Memorial Cemetery. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar has charge. He was a former principal in Fayette County, former assistant principal in Middleton,Tenn., former Shelby County teacher and a Navy veteran. Mr. Beaty, the husband of Kathryn Durham Beaty, also leaves two daughters, Cindy Roop of Germantown and Jennifer Davis of Portland, Ore.; a sister, Ada Mary Robinson of Cincinnati; and three grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to Bolivar First Baptist Church Building Fund or a charity of the donor's choice.
