  Commercial Appeal, The (Memphis, TN, USA) - September 10, 1991 Deceased Name: JOHN HOWELL 'PAN' ADKINS JOHN HOWELL 'PAN' ADKINS, 75, of Munford, Tenn., retired 38-year employee of South Central Bell, died Sunday at Methodist Hospital after a long illness. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Munford, where he was trustee and past president of the Methodist Men's Club, with burial in Helen Crigger Cemetery there. Munford Funeral Home has charge. He was also a member of Tipton Masonic Lodge and Memphis Scottish Rite. He was a World War II Army veteran. Adkins, the husband of Grace McQuiston Adkins, also leaves two sons, John Adkins of Seattle and Eddie Adkins of Munford; two brothers, William Adkins of Memphis and Richard Lee Adkins of Munford, and a granddaughter.
