• Notes

  Parents were born in Ireland Family appears to be correct, but wife’s maiden name is probably Brown. In 1850 there were two older Browns (born in Ireland) living with James and Mary and in 1880 census, Mary’s parents were both born in Ireland. There was also a Robert (b. abt 1782) and Isabella (b. abt 1784) Nelson living in Chester in 1850. Both were born in Ireland [3]
