Deceased Name: ELIZABETH HALL WOOTEN
ELIZABETH HALL WOOTEN, 92, of Covington, homemaker and former Latin teacher at Munford High School, died of heart failure Monday at her home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Covington First Presbyterian Church, where she was the first female deacon and elder and a Sunday school teacher, with burial in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home in Covington has charge. She was a member of Covington Book Club, a Girl Scout leader and president of Women of the Church. Mrs. Wooten, the widow of W. H. 'Bill' Wooten, leaves two daughters, Ann Wooten of Atlanta and Nancy Wooten of Memphis, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to Covington First Presbyterian Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
