PAUL G. McQUISTON JR., 83, of Memphis, retired executive vice president of Southern Hardwood Traffic Association, died Saturday at Saint Francis Hospital. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Christ United Methodist Church, where he was an administrative board member and former charge lay leader, with burial in Memorial Park. Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge. He was a World War II Army veteran, a former second vice president and secretary of the Lumberman's Club of Memphis, a former commissioner of Memphis Freight Bureau, a representative for Southeastern Lumber Manufacturer's Association and a member of National Freight Traffic Association and the American Society of Traffic & Transportation. Mr. McQuiston, the husband of Robbie Banks McQuiston for 61 years, also leaves a daughter, Janice M. Parnell of Germantown; a half-sister, Frances Blackmon of Atoka, Tenn., and two grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Christ United Methodist Church.
