- W.W McQuiston 81 Retired Farmer
William Wilson McQuiston,81, died at his home on the Florence Road Friday Afternoon.
He was a native of Drew County and a retired farmer.
He was born December 30, 1879, the son of the late
John Hemphill McQuiston and Addie Lou Moore McQuistion and on November 9,1909 was married to the former Carlee Hoover. he was a member of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his widow: three sons, J.A. McQuiston of McGehee, William McQuiston of Monticello, and Robert McQuiston of Chicago; for Daughters, Mrs. Agnes Henry and Mrs Hazel Saffold or Monticello, Mrs Lille V Rothenberger
of Shreveport La and Mrs Thelma Tucker of Memphis; two half-sisters Mrs Maggie Owens of Monticello and Mrs Mary Tucker of Dumas; a half-brothers, G.C. "Buck" Pevey of Monticello; 23 grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.
Funeral service were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Stephenson Funeral Chapel by Dr. Thomas Welch and Rev Dale Genty.
Burial was at camp Ground Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were his grandsons: Billy Gene Henry, Tom Henry, Kenneth Saffold, Jerry Tucker, Jimmy Potter and LaVern Baker.
